Objective of the tool/method Method is used to inform target groups, senzibilise them, initiate discussion about agroecological knowledges and their importance for sustainabile management of rural areas. Objectives can be realized on different goals : - to get aquainted - to introduce - to transfer - to implement
Description of the tool The method is structured to different actions which are realized as a sequence on 2 levels: Level 1 Introductory presentation (about agroeclogy) Practicioners introduction (about AE practice) Demonstration of the practice Hands on experience Discussion with practitioner Level 2 Differentiation of further activity dependent on target group and set objectives. ( for example: advisors: get aqainted, introduce, transfer; farmers: get aqainted, introduce, implement ) As target groups we identified: - pupils, students of vocational and general schools - agricultural advisors - farmers and in some extent also general public.
More information First test of the method was done with pupils of agricultural vocational school BC Naklo as target group and with objective to acquaint them with agroecology and importance of agroecological knowledge. "Project days" is the "festival of knowledge" organized as an auxiliary activity twice a year at BC Naklo. Students apply themselves to different workshops. They are meant as an upgrade of their theoretical school knowledge or information about innovative or interesting new developments in the field. The activity is divided into two days and the result are products or presentations of workshops' activities for fellow students. Workshop "WHAT IS AGROHOMEOPATHY AND HOW TO USE IT?" was attended by 15 students. The sequence of the activity is shown in the document attached.

Succes factor Combination of presentation, demonstration and hands on experience is successful approach to present and promote agroecology. Diversification of the second phase enables approaching different target groups (students, teachers, advisors, farmers...), realising different objectives. The activity can be realized on different occassions.
Challenges Sometimes people don't see meaning of introduction of the term agroecology for sustanable agricultural practices. Motivating people to take part in the activity.
